If Minaj had simply tweeted, “so just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied,” chances are she wouldn’t have gotten the same reaction. What Carlson said was distracting from the true issue at hand or perhaps in many hands: testicles. So, in one sentence, Carlson accused people of bullying and then in the next sentence referred to MSNBC Host Joy Reid as a “crazed race lady.” So the crazed race lady over at MSNBC told Nicki Minaj to shut up immediately.” Huh? How many medical and public health experts have been raising concerns about the last part of Minaj’s tweet? How many people actually said that “pray on it” and “don’t be bullied” were the issues with Minaj’s tweet? That would be like watching firefighters battle a raging inferno and complaining that they are getting people wet.Ĭarlson continued by saying, “so our media and public health officials didn't like this because they make their livings bullying people, so they couldn't let it stand. He claimed that “this has not anything to do with the physical effect of the vaccine that makes our political class mad, it's the last part of Nicki Minaj's tweet that enrages them, the part where she says, ‘You should pray on it,’ make the decision yourself like a free human being and quote, ‘Don't be bullied.’” After all, when you’ve tweeted about your cousin’s friend’s testicles, why not re-tweet a video of Carlson? As you can see in the video, Carlson, who is neither a scientist nor medical doctor, tried to turn the whole ball issue on its head.
